Fundazione per Leggere has held in the month of October , on 6th and 11th October, a series of meetings with the storyteller and writer Christian Mascheroni as part of the "Reader Resident" activity. A closing day of the initiative was held on 29th October.

In these meetings with reading clubs and readers, two themes have been proposed to be analysed with the guest writer. On the one hand, reading as a life experience, and on the other, with the intention of answering the question "Are you a reader or do you become one?

The Fondazione per Leggere is developing this Resident Reader project in the framework of the European project European Network of Storytelling Towns and Sites (ENSST) with the collaboration of Creative Europe. Last spring it also held meetings through this initiative.

The resident reader is an initiative that provides the community of readers with the opportunity to hold public meetings, to give visibility to clandestine reading (reading out), practices of contagion, dissemination, promotion, etc. In addition, the programme also allows for individual meetings, reading advice, opinions on reading, strategies for relating to other readers or non-readers, finding solutions to problems of coexistence with books, forms of addiction (to reading and to readers) or textual transmission diseases.

The closing session was held at the Foundation's headquarters in Abbiategrasso (Milan), on 29th October. On this day, presented under the title "The Night of the Reader", the Foundation reviewed the activities it has developed through the European Network of Storytelling Cities and Places (ENSST) project, such as the Reader Resident project and an app with reading tips.

The day's programme also included storytelling sessions with Matteo Curatella and Roberto Anglisani. The latter storyteller is one of the participants in the show "Il était una vez jeden utopická viaggio a történeteken keresztül em seis línguas" (Once upon a time a utopian journey through stories in six languages), who shared with the audience the experience and some of the stories he brings to the show. On the other hand, working sessions have been held at the headquarters of the Fundazione Per Leggere to learn about the evolution of the ENSST project and the next steps to be carried out in this project financed by the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA).

The European Network Storytelling Sites and Towns (ENST), leaded by Seminario de Literatura Juvenil de Guadalajara, has as partners - Comenius University of Bratislava (Slovakia), Maison du Conte de Chevilly-Larue (France) and Fondazione per Leggere (Italy). This is the sixth European project coordinated by the SLIJ.
