The group of European storytellers working in Sigüenza in the workshop "Creative Residence", included in the European project Network of Storytelling Cities and Places, has completed the programme planned for the first week of work.
In the mornings and afternoons, the storytellers are preparing the storytelling show "Once upon a time there was a utopian journey through stories in six languages" in the cultural centre. This working group consists of eight professional storytellers from France, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, Portugal and Spain.
But they have also been in contact with other groups in Sigüenza with oral storytelling as a point of union. On the afternoon of Thursday 2nd June, they held a meeting with a large group of residents of the ACCEM refugee reception centre.
In the mid-morning of Friday 3 June, this group of professional storytellers held a day with pupils from various classes at the Martín Vázquez de Arce secondary school. In this case, the storytellers shared stories in several languages and also presented some parts of the next show of the ENSST network. Also the pupils were encouraged to tell stories and everyone enjoyed a nice meeting.
During these days, the activities scheduled in Sigüenza for the group of storytellers and managers of the European Network of Storytelling Places and Cities, led by the Seminar of Children's and Young People's Literature of Guadalajara, continue to take place. The SLIJ partners in this project are the Comenius University of Bratislava (Slovakia), Maison du Conte de Chevilly-Larue (France) and Fondazione per Leggere (Italy).
On Wednesday, 8TH June, at 19.30, the preview of the show "Il était una vez jeden utopická viaggio a történeteken keresztül em seis línguas" (Once upon a time there was a utopian journey through stories in six languages) will take place at El Pósito. On Thursday, 9TH June, the ENSST network managers will hold working meetings. In the afternoon, they will all travel to Guadalajara to continue their work schedule and take part in the XXX edition of the Guadalajara storytelling marathon.
